词源 | Wild Bill Hickok. Any fabled gunfighter; after James Butler “Wild Bill” Hickok (1837–76), army scout, gambler, and town marshall of Abilene, Kansas. Though a handsome dandy, with long blond hair hanging over his shoulders, Hickok was first called “Duck Bill” after his long nose and protruding lip.
