| 词源 | Kentucky bite. Heavyweight champion Mike Tyson was hardly the first American to bite off part of an opponent’s ear in a fight in or out of the ring. Such tactics were all too common in years past, especially, it seems, in our old Kentucky homes. Melville noted the technique in White-Jacket (1844) and Hemingway described it graphically in several of his stories. More recently, Vincent, the new godfather in Godfather III bit off part of his rival’s ear. |
