| 词源 | Kamerad, Kamerad! Kamerad doesn’t mean “I surrender” in German, as many people believe. It is German for “comrade.” German soldiers who used Kamerad, Kamerad! in surrender- ing during World Wars I and II were appealing to the mercy of “comrade” human beings. The expression, however, has taken on the meaning of “I surrender” in English. |
