| 词源 | Uzi. This widely used, highly reliable submachine gun bears the nickname of its inventor, Israeli arms expert Uziel Gal (1923–2002). An employee of the government-owned Israeli military industries, Gal invented the 9-millimeter, 9-pound weapon but received no royalties on the estimated 11⁄2 million Uzis sold around the world.
