Statue of Liberty play. Named for its resemblance to the up- lifted arm of the Statue of Liberty, this football play has a passer faking a pass, and another back coming behind him, taking the ball from his upraised hand and either passing it himself or running toward the goal with it. Outdated today, it was the pride of every kid’s sandlot team a generation ago. |
