词源 | spork. Two eating utensils made into one. The spork, coined from spoon and fork, was made mainly for disabled people and according to its manufacturer “can be adapted by bending and/or riveting on an extension.” Its name was recorded in the Century Dictionary (1909), but it wasn’t heard at all after that until it became a trademark in the 1970s. |
