sawbuck (n.)

"十美元钞票或纸币"，也称为 saw-buck，美国英语俚语，1850年（隐含在 double-sawbuck 中），因为 X（罗马数字10，在许多19世纪中期美国银行票据的设计中很突出）与锯架的两端相似。 Sawbuck 在“锯架”的意义上可追溯到1837年（见 saw（n.1）+ buck（n.3））。
