reasonable (adj.)

约于1300年， resonable，“具有明智判断力，赋有理性能力”，源自古法语 raisonable，源自拉丁语 rationabilis，源自 ratio “计算、理解、动机、原因”，源自 ratus，过去分词形式为 reri “计算、思考”（源自 PIE 词根 *re- “推理、计数”）。

同时最初的意思是“理性的、健全的”，现已过时。在中古英语中，通过“由于或由好的判断而产生的”，然后是“不超出常识的范围”而发生了一些变化。
