procrastinate (v.)

“拖延到另一天，推迟到将来的时间”，源于1580年代，是从 procrastination 反推而来，或者源于拉丁语 procrastinatus，是 procrastinare 的过去分词，“拖延到明天； 推迟，延迟”。1630年代开始有“拖延”的不及物意义。相关词汇： Procrastinated； procrastinating。更早的动词是 procrastine（1540年代），源于法语 procrastiner。
