loyalty (n.)

约于1400年，源自古法语 loialte， leaute，意为“忠诚，忠实； 合法性； 诚实； 良好品质”（现代法语 loyauté），源自 loial（参见 loyal）。中世纪拉丁语中的单词是 legalitas。早期中古英语形式为 leaute（13世纪中期），源自更早的法语形式。首次出现的 Loyalty oath 是在1852年。
