词源	haves and have-nots. The haves and have-nots are the rich and poor of any society. The term is not of recent vintage as one might expect. In fact, Cervantes may have invented it in Don Quixote (1605–15) where he has Sancho Panza say: “There are only two families in the world, the haves [el tenor] and the have-nots [el no tenor].” See also quixotic.
