词源	event [M16th] Event is an unchanged borrowing from the French, which got it from Latin evenire ‘to come out, happen, result’, formed from e- ‘out’ and venire ‘to come’. It originally meant ‘an outcome’ or ‘an occurrence’ and did not develop the sense of ‘a planned or scheduled occasion’ until the 19th century.
